Maintenance Technician - Villas of Cave Creek

Job Summary:

This team member will participate in and assist with the daily operation of the maintenance department. The goal is to ensure excellence in owner/guest vacation experiences through timely and quality job performance in handling maintenance requests and special projects.

Job Expectations:

  1. Abide by established policies and procedures, house and departmental rules, safety rules, grooming codes, and security procedures.
  2. Perform maintenance jobs carefully and with proper preparation.
  3. Communicate clearly both verbally and in writing, including detailed reports on failures, causes, and recommended remedial actions.
  4. Maintain all equipment and tools in a clean and workable condition.
  5. Alert the manager and/or front desk of any suspicious persons in guest areas.
  6. Accept deliveries of supplies and maintain inventory in storage areas.
  7. Notify the manager and/or front desk upon completion of units according to procedures.
  8. Adhere to scheduled work hours; be punctual and notify the manager if unable to meet schedule.

Essential Functions:

  1. Perform quality maintenance repairs and installations across all areas of building and property maintenance.
  2. Complete repairs and installations correctly, efficiently, and confidently, ensuring surrounding areas are protected and clean.
  3. Perform daily guest service calls and work orders, supervise special projects, and perform corrective repairs proactively.
  4. Identify needs and dispose of litter and other materials around the property.

Budget Control and Financial Management:

  1. Maintain inventory of tools, returning them to proper storage daily.
  2. Purchase supplies and materials as directed.
  3. Utilize time efficiently to provide quality labor and maximize daily work output.

Effective Communication:

  1. Provide complete and accurate communication to team members and management.
  2. Complete written inspections of work performed.
  3. Notify management of areas requiring attention.

Owner/Guest Satisfaction:

  1. Maintain high standards of service to members, guests, and team members.
  2. Complete repairs requested by housekeeping accurately and thoroughly.
  3. Interact with guests professionally, greeting them, making eye contact, and listening attentively to their requests and comments.

Other Duties:

Perform additional duties as requested.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum Experience required:

  • Experience preferred but training will be provided.

Skills Required:

  • Good oral and written communication skills.
