Job summary

Dal-Tile Distribution, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to inspect, adjust, troubleshoot, and repair machinery and electrical systems in a manufacturing environment.

The role focuses on PLCs, servo motors, and label machine operations to ensure reliable production. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial maintenance, with PLC programming experience and familiarity with Data Logic/Sick label systems, plus the ability to read blueprints and work safely in a loud

Qualifications

• Requires completion of high school or equivalent; electrical code knowledge is implied.
• Associate degree in industrial electronics preferred.
• Journeyman electrical license preferred; PLC training is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot PLCs and program control systems.
• Install, maintain and repair equipment and electrical systems in a manufacturing setting.
• Read blueprints and diagrams; follow safety and operating procedures.

Recruiting Profile

Dal-Tile is currently seeking a Maintenance TechnicianVto join our TEAM! As the Maintenance Technician we need someone who canmake adjustments tomachines and equipment for proper operation.

Primary Objective

Performs complex mechanical duties and a variety of electrical trade functions in the installation, maintenance, repair and/or distribution of electrical energy. Installs, maintains and replaces electronic programmable controllers in a manufacturing environment.

Major Function and Scope

• CX programming.
• Trouble shoot PLCs (Programmable Logic Controller) usinghand helddevice or laptop.
• Design and redesign program and software (PLCs, operator panels,etc).
• Format hard drives and install to the computers (Computer Setup) and PC application
• Installs,maintainsor repairs equipment for the generation, distribution or utilization of electrical energy in a manufacturing environment.
• Locates and diagnosis trouble in electrical systems or equipment working fromblueprints, drawings, layouts or other specifications.
• Works standard computations related to load requirements of wiring and/or electrical equipment.
• Knowledge of Serial port communication systems, VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives) and process control instrumentation devices (thermocouples, pressure switches,etc).
• Knowledge of Servomotors and drive units.
• Knowledge of label machines and scanner programming (Data logic, Sick,etc)
• Uses a variety of electricians tools including measuring and testing instruments.
• Assist on conducting scheduled preventive maintenance procedures.
• Informs supervisor of operational status of equipment and notifies of any problem areas. Follows standard operating and safety procedures.
• Keeps work area safe, clean and organized.
• Performs other related duties as required.

Experience and Knowledge Required

High school diploma or equivalent experience. Knowledge of electrical code. Journeyman electrical license preferred.

Associate degree in industrial electronics preferred.

5+years industrial maintenance experience and 2 years industrial electrical experience. Formal PCL training preferred.

Basic computer knowledge (Microsoft Office)

Competencies

Ability to read blueprints. Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems and PLCs. Ability to score 80% or better on the Industrial Maintenance exam. Ability to read and understand procedures in English. Ability to test motors and electrical circuits using a voltmeter and amp meter. In depth knowledge of LGV equipment and operation.

The associate may be required to sometimes sit, climb or balance. The associate may lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position includes close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The associate is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The associate may be exposed to a wide range of temperatures. The noise level is usually loud.
