Ag Processing Inc in David City, NE is seeking a self-motivated Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role emphasizes mechanical troubleshooting and keeping plant equipment running efficiently.

Responsibilities include repairing or replacing equipment, performing preventative maintenance, fabricating shop items, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. The position requires reading prints, operating forklifts, and availability for on-call shifts.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years in mechanical, construction or equivalent.
• Knowledge of PSM, NFPA, OSHA, and EPA regulations.
• Ability to read and understand computer printouts and equipment specifications.
• Skilled in operating a forklift, bobcat and end-loader.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with internal and external customers.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Able to be available for on-call status periodically (as needed).
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.

Responsabilités

• Repair and/or replace broken or non-functioning equipment through analysis of problem and determining what materials/parts are needed.
• Perform preventative maintenance.
• Fabricate new plant items out of metal or wood using welder’s torches, band saws, presses, and other tools.
• Troubleshoot electrical problems and complete repairs when appropriate.
• Maintain plant sanitation standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
