Maintenance Technician – Madison, WI (Traveling Technician In Training)
$20-$26 per hour (Based on Experience)

Are you a hands-on problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment? We’re searching for a dedicated Maintenance Technician to help keep our properties in top shape. Your work will ensure our community remains safe, functional, and welcoming.

What You’ll Do

  • Prepare vacant units for market readiness, ensuring a polished, move-in-ready space.
  • Respond promptly to resident service requests, addressing concerns efficiently and professionally.
  • Assist in preventative maintenance, including light bulb and filter changes, painting, drywall patching, lock repairs, and pool maintenance (if applicable).
  • Help with snow removal, ensuring safe and clear paths by 6:00 a.m., while keeping accurate salting logs.
  • Perform on-call emergency services in rotation with other maintenance team members.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of maintenance logs, timesheets, and checklists.
  • Keep grounds and common areas clean, safe, and free of debris.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, staff, and vendors to ensure smooth daily operations.

What We’re Looking For

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Basic understanding of plumbing, electrical work, and carpentry.
  • Comfortable using essential tools like drills, saws, and meters.

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma preferred

Licenses & Certifications:

  • Valid driver’s license, good driving record, auto insurance, and basic tools required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Work indoors and outdoors, adapting to various weather conditions.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
