Job summary

Piramal Critical Care in Bethlehem, PA is seeking a Maintenance Technician to install, service, and repair packaging and process equipment. You will perform PMs, set up changeovers, and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and pneumatics while following cGMP guidelines.

Strong reading of schematics and ability to gown in protective gear are required. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, plus 2 years in a pharma environment; an Associate's in Electromechanical Technology is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or technical school diploma required.
• Associates Degree in Electromechanical Technology or equivalent certification preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a pharmaceutical environment is required.
• Strong technical background and mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
• Experience with PLCs, HMIs, and pneumatics is required.
• Must be able to gown and work in protective gear as required by GMPs.
• Knowledge of serialization and ability to read electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair machinery, process equipment, and utilities.
• Perform PMs on packaging equipment and set up/changeovers.
• Monitor and ensure equipment operates with minimal downtime and GMP compliance.
• Read operation manuals and schematics; utilize a computer as needed.
• Stage materials for packaging batches and assist with line readiness.
• Operate a forklift and support cross-functional teams as required.
