Job summary

Ditsch USA is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our Cincinnati, OH food manufacturing facility. This hands-on role maintains production and facility equipment, troubleshoots issues, and supports 24/5 operation on the third shift.

You will work with the production team, use CMMS for work orders, follow GMP and safety policies, and contribute to keeping our SQF-certified plant running smoothly.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years in a manufacturing environment, preferably with food processing equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Valid driver's license and strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair equipment; verify repairs for quality and accuracy.
• Utilize CMMS, PC, phone, or email for documentation.
• Maintain plant and equipment across the facility, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Keep a clean, organized work area and follow safety policies.
• Identify issues and document them using work orders in CMMS.
• Collaborate with departments and communicate across shifts.

Job Summary

As a Maintenance Technician you will play a vital role in maintaining the excellence of our SQF certified food manufacturing facility. The Maintenance Technician will perform highly diversified duties to install troubleshoot repair and maintain production and facility equipment while acting as a technical support resource and providing a multi skilled service for our production team. The Maintenance Technician will be tasked to support their own projectsimprovements to be completed in support of a facility that operates 24 hours a day 5 days a week. This role will report directly to the Maintenance Shift Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Perform highly diversified duties to install maintain and repair all necessary equipment verifying and testing all repairs to ensure they are completed with quality and accuracy
• Adequately utilize electronic equipment and software ie PC phone email CMMS etc
• Maintain facility and equipment throughout the plant; consisting of but not limited to mechanical electrical pneumatic hydraulic etc
• Maintain a clean and well organized work area
• Proactively identify issues and opportunities for improvement and utilize the CMMS system to document the issues ie write a Work Order WO
• Comply with work safety and environmental policies and procedures
• Maintain and update records accurately and timely; including but not limited to WOs PMs Call Logs Shift Reports adding parts labor notes pics status changes etc
• Self motivated to stay consistently busy throughout shift helping to impact change and improvement while potentially working independently in a mature and professional manner
• Maintain positive working relationship with all departments and sustain constant communication within the shift and department
• Wear Personal Protective Equipment PPE and follow Good Manufacturing Practices GMP while working indoors andor outdoors
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or GED; or an equivalent combination of education and experience required
• At least 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment food processing equipment experience desirable
• Ability to use logic and reasoning skills to identify alternative solutions conclusions or approaches to problems
• Strong pneumatic mechanical electrical and industrial skills; experience with PLCs and VFDs
• Strong work ethic and commitment to attendance
• Ability to perform duties independently or with minimal supervision while maintaining a high degree of integrity
• Strong analytical troubleshooting organizational and problem solving skills
• Valid drivers license
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and adapt to frequent changes on the production line

Physical Requirements

• Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment
• Excellent handeye coordination
• Able to work in a warehouse with temperatures that can range from 10F to above normal heat conditions
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally above shoulder height
• Ability to work in an environment with flashing lights horns and powered moving equipment operating in proximity
• Prolonged periods sitting standing and walking
• Must be physically able to climb ladders bend or crawl into awkward spaces
• Must be able to visually inspect machines
• Welding skills MIG Steel TIG SteelAluminum are preferred
• Must be able to safely maintain x ray and metal detection equipment ensuring compliance with safety protocols and proper handling procedures
• Ability to work in high voltage areas adhering to all safety regulations and using appropriate personal protective equipment PPE
