Qualifications

  • 2+ years of maintenance experience or equivalent training.
  • Familiarity with Washington State and Seattle Landlord-Tenant Laws is helpful.

A Day in the Life
  • Perform general building maintenance and repairs, including minor plumbing, carpentry, painting, drywall, appliance repairs, and cleaning.
  • Handle unit turns: servicing appliances, plumbing, electrical work, replacing faulty parts, re-keying locks, replacing bulbs, and interior painting.
  • Address residents’ work orders promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain positive relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure the best products and prices.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, tenants, property managers, staff, and vendors.
  • Complete all tasks timely and professionally.

Must be able to work flexible hours and respond to after-hours requests.

Requirements
  • 2+ years of maintenance experience or equivalent training.
  • Previous experience is an asset.
  • Strong multitasking and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with Washington State and Seattle Landlord-Tenant Laws is helpful.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
Physical Requirements
  • Stand comfortably for extended periods, including on various surfaces.
  • Lift/carry 10-50 pounds; assistance available for over 50 pounds.
  • Climb stairs and ladders as needed.
  • Perform bending, stooping, crouching, twisting, kneeling, and crawling as required.
  • Work in indoor and outdoor environments, exposed to various temperatures and substances like paint and thinner.
