Job summary

JobSquad is seeking a Maintenance Technician (Temporary) to support a facility in Holt, MI. The role emphasizes maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing machinery, building systems, and related equipment.

The successful candidate will read mechanical prints and electrical diagrams, perform basic welding, and handle routine preventive maintenance. This position offers first shift hours from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with hourly pay of $18.00.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in industrial maintenance.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Basic knowledge of power tools and welding.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, install, troubleshoot and repair current and new machinery and systems.
• Perform basic repairs of air compressors, hydraulics, HVAC, electrical and plumbing.
• Read mechanical prints, drawings and electrical diagrams.
• Maintain and repair robotics and CNC machinery.
• Welding knowledge: MIG, TIG and ARC (SS, aluminum).
• Install electrical wiring and equipment during new installations.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests.
• Move equipment as instructed and assist with inventory.
• Maintain building and grounds; inspect equipment and perform preventive maintenance.

$18.00/Hour- First Shift – 6AM-2:30PM MON-FRI

Job Description

• Maintain, install, troubleshoot and repair current and new machinery and/or systems
• Basic repairs of air compressors, hydraulics, heating ventilation, air conditioning units, electrical and/or plumbing
• Ability to read and understand mechanical prints, drawings and electrical line diagrams and relay logic
• Basic maintenance and repair of robotics and CNC machinery
• Knowledge of MIG, TIG and ARC welding (SS, aluminum)
• Clean and/or inspect machinery to troubleshoot for repair
• Installs electrical wiring and equipment during new installation and/or remodeling
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests
• Performs outside/exterior maintenance repairs as needed
• Work with Purchasing Coordinator to determine appropriate supplies and parts needed
• Assist with inventory when needed
• Clean debris and dust from assigned areas
• Inspect company equipment for possible problems and report findings on regular basis and perform preventative maintenance
• Move equipment upon instruction
• Maintain overall condition of the building and grounds
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Must pass pre-employment screenings

Key Responsibilities

• Minimum 2 years of experience in industrial maintenance (Preferred)
• Demonstrated strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Basic knowledge of power tools (1 year)
• Experience with welding and fabricating (1 year)
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and ability to work independently
