Position Overview

Teague Terrace and T-Bailey is an affordable housing community consisting of 56/46 units in Glendale, CA. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the overall maintenance of the apartment complex and all related day-to-day maintenance operations of the community.

Solari Enterprises, Inc. is a full-service property management company with communities throughout California, specializing in all aspects of multifamily affordable housing since 1993.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Paint
2. Clean carpets, windows, appliances
3. Service appliances, plumbing, electrical fixtures
4. Repair or replace old and faulty parts
5. Check locks
6. Replace burned-out light bulbs
7. Conduct regular inspections of grounds, building, plumbing, electrical fixtures, appliances, and major equipment
8. Familiarize with power, water, and gas turnoffs; clean traps; maintain fire extinguishers and fire hydrants; post maps of these items
9. Assist in maintaining inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies
10. Perform janitorial duties
11. Report all needed repairs to the site manager
12. Assist with other maintenance tasks as necessary
13. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors

Required Qualifications:

• 1 to 3 years of experience as a maintenance technician
• Conduct corrective, preventive, and emergency maintenance
• Experience in electrical, drywall, plumbing, carpentry, and painting
• Valid California driver’s license
• Proof of auto insurance
• Reliable transportation
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to excellence
• Excellent customer service skills for interacting with tenants and vendors
• Computer skills for work order management

Preferred Qualifications:

• Specialized certifications such as HVAC are desirable

Compensation and Benefits:

• $23.00 per hour
