Qualifications

Job description

Maintenance Technician - Split shift (1st and 2nd shift)

We are currently looking for a Maintenance Technician to be based out of Atlanta, GA. Reporting to the Facility Manager - Maintenance, this person will be responsible for ensuring that plant equipment and facilities are kept in good working order.

What you’ll do:

  1. Organize and facilitate maintenance on all production and facility equipment with emphasis on equipment uptime and to resolve quality and production related issues in the spirit of continuous improvement, including electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical troubleshooting.
  2. Repair and rebuild electrical and mechanical components.
  3. Installation, modification and fabrication of equipment and systems to meet production needs and schedules.
  4. Conduct routine maintenance of electrical equipment, wiring, and resources.
  5. Work with maintenance and production personnel in analyzing and troubleshooting equipment failures.
  6. Clearly communicate maintenance situations to the Facility Manager - Maintenance, Value Stream Manager, and Plant Manager.
  7. Plant wide accountabilities for operational aspects including progress toward quality and production goals.
  8. Participate in continuous improvement in safety, quality, and housekeeping.
  9. Other tasks as determined by the Facility Manager - Maintenance.
  10. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
  11. Knowledge of general building maintenance (e.g., plumbing, HVAC, painting).
  12. Knowledge of Forklift/PIT maintenance a plus.

What you’ll bring:

  1. High School diploma preferred. 3-5 years electronics troubleshooting experience in an industrial environment desired.
  2. Knowledge of A/B and Siemens PLC's strongly preferred.
  3. Knowledge in AC/DC drives.
  4. Knowledge in induction heating and welding equipment.
  5. Knowledge in Servo Drive Systems.
  6. Knowledge in automated systems and/or robotics.
  7. Knowledge in 3-phase power systems.
  8. Ability to work independently.
  9. Strong sense of urgency.
  10. Strong leadership, teamwork, and decision-making skills.
  11. Strong oral and written communication skills required.

Within 3 months, you’ll:

  1. Complete any required training.
  2. Have developed relationships with the key stakeholders for this role.
