Job summary

AIR Communities in Fort Worth, TX is seeking Maintenance Technicians to provide resident-focused service and perform routine and turn-related repairs. You will troubleshoot plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance issues, follow standardized processes, and mentor other technicians as needed.

This onsite role offers an hourly rate of $25.00-$28.00 with quarterly bonuses up to $1,500, a 50% rent discount where applicable, and opportunities for career growth through AIR’s development programs.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of maintenance experience.
• Proficient in at least two technical trades (plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, HVAC, carpentry, etc.).
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, 7-day weeks and on-call shifts.
• Reliable transportation to respond to emergency service requests.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Comfort with physical activity and moving heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent service to residents and assistance to team members.
• Follow AIR’s process for completion of basic apartment turns to make the apartment ready for the next resident’s move-in experience.
• With general direction, complete resident requested repairs and routine maintenance (troubleshoot and repair/replace plumbing, electrical components, HVAC equipment, and appliances).
• May provide functional/technical direction and training to other Maintenance Technicians and support the development of technical skills.
• May assist with managing vendor quality and may perform move-in/move-out inspections.
• Responsibilities vary based on team member skillset, community needs, mechanical systems, and season.

What You Have

• At least 2 years of maintenance experience , preferably in some form of facilities or building environment
• Proficient skills in at least two technical trades (plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, HVAC, carpentry, etc.)
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, 7-day work weeks (depending on community needs and seasonality), and on-call shifts (at least one week a month).
• A reliable mode of transportation to respond to emergency service requests while on-call after hours.
• Comfort with physical activity as you must be able and willing to move heavy equipment and machinery.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
