Job summary

Bolder Industries seeks an Industrial Maintenance Technician in Terre Haute, IN to perform routine and preventive maintenance on pyrolysis reactors, conveyors, pumps, and rotating equipment. You will diagnose electrical controls in demanding environments and support safe, efficient rCB production.

The role requires 2+ years in industrial maintenance, ability to read schematics, and a commitment to safety. On-site, full-time with 12-hour night shifts.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
  • 2+ years in industrial maintenance; pyrolysis experience a plus.
  • Essential: building/plumbing/electrical repairs, 480V wiring, Mig/Arc welding, fabrication.
  • Preferred: controls troubleshooting.
  • Strong grasp of schematics, blueprints, hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
  • Effective communication, teamwork, and ability to work independently while prioritizing safety.

Responsibilities

  • Maintenance on pyrolysis reactors, conveyors, pumps, and rotating equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical controls (PLC systems, sensors, wiring) in high-temp, high-pressure settings.
  • Maintain bearings, gears, and fluid systems; manage pumping during gas condensation and oil recovery.
  • Monitor process parameters with operations teams; troubleshoot to optimize yields.
  • Perform millwrighting tasks: alignment, fabrication, installation on production lines.
  • Document activities, manage parts inventory, support continuous improvements.
  • Ensure safety and environmental compliance; handle tire-derived oil byproducts.
  • Cross-train across the entire production process.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Job description

Location & Schedule
  • On-site at our Terre Haute, Indiana facility (remote work is not available for this role)
  • Full-time: 12 hour shift - 7:00 pm to 7:00 am
Working Conditions

This role operates within an active chemical recycling plant that includes exposure to carbon black, liquid hydrocarbon oils, and vapor streams. Protective equipment (e.g., safety glasses, hearing protection, respirators) will be required in designated areas. The facility includes indoor and outdoor operations, elevated equipment access, and industrial-grade processing equipment
