Maintenance Technician - Shawnee, KS - 1st Shift
ADM Animal Nutrition
This is an hourly position.

Responsibilities include:

1. Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing plant mechanical equipment and electrical systems.
2. Performing preventative maintenance, emergency repairs, and purchasing parts and supplies.
3. Maintaining knowledge of production processes, equipment, and operations for effective diagnosis and repair.
4. Carrying out preventive maintenance duties and gaining expertise in equipment, operations, and processes.
5. Installing new equipment, making electrical connections, and aligning equipment for production.
6. Managing maintenance files, parts, and vendor information via the department computer.
7. Performing welding duties for equipment repairs.
8. Documenting work details, including time and parts used, using the RCI system.
9. Conducting regular inspections and daily preventive maintenance of production equipment.
10. Keeping maintenance records and providing them to designated locations.
11. Promoting the ADM Way and Core Values.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior maintenance experience or vocational/technical training in a mechanical field.
• Basic knowledge of process equipment, forklift operation, and computer skills.

Physical and Environmental Requirements:

• Ability to climb stairs, lift, sit, stand, work in confined spaces, and at heights.
• Ability to bend, kneel, squat, and work in hot, cold, or dusty environments.
• Candidate should be motivated, organized, and safety-conscious.
