Job summary

Walor North America is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the second shift at our Columbus facility. You will troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems across a range of manufacturing equipment and perform preventive maintenance to keep lines running safely and efficiently.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years in machine repair, knowledge of hydraulics/pneumatics, and the ability to read prints. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and an onsite, Monday–Friday schedule with a 3:00

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of machine repair experience in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and mechanical drive systems.
• Basic welding and cutting skills.
• Ability to read mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic prints/schematics.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to quality.

Responsibilities

• Ensure facilities and equipment are maintained and in safe working order.
• Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance on manufacturing equipment (forging presses up to 2500T, furnaces, CNC saws, shot blast, etc.).
• Follow preventive maintenance schedules and procedures.
• Maintain documentation of maintenance, repairs, parts usage and projects.
• Communicate and document daily breakdowns and planned repairs.
• Troubleshoot complex mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical servo and drive systems.
• Enter data timely and accurately into maintenance system.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Maintenance Technician - Second Shift

Walor North America is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join its Maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting mechanical and electrical problems in an efficient and safe manner throughout the facility. A successful candidate is a self-motivated problem-solver that utilizes a strong work ethic to ensure all quality levels are met.

What you will do

• Ensures all facilities and equipment are properly maintained and in good, safe working order
• Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance on various manufacturing equipment. This includes mechanical and hydraulic forging presses up to 2500T, combustion furnaces, CNC saws, shot blast, and auxiliary equipment
• Perform necessary preventive maintenance in line with the maintenance schedule and procedures
• Maintain documentation of preventive maintenance, equipment repair, part usages and other projects
• Communication and documentation of daily breakdown and planned repairs
• Troubleshooting of complex mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
• Troubleshooting of complex electrical servo and drive systems
• Accountable for entering data into maintenance system timely and accurately
• Other duties as assigned

What you will bring

• 2-3 years experience in a machine repair and troubleshooting environment
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical drive systems
• Basic mechanical, welding and cutting skills
• Should be capable of reading/interpreting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic prints/schematics
• Good problem solving skills and attention to quality/detail
• Have basic computer skills
• Meter usage and ability to complete measurements
• Understanding and adherence to LOTO and safe work practices

Work Environment

• Location-The Maintenance Technician role is based onsite at our Columbus facility
• Physical Demand-May be required to lift moderately heavy automotive components up to 15 pounds
• Schedule-Monday thru Friday, 3:00 PM - 11:15 PM, some overtime or weekends may be necessary
