Job summary

Marriott Chattanooga is seeking a Maintenance Technician/Engineer to keep hotel property in excellent repair and safe working order. The role focuses on completing work orders promptly, maintaining life safety systems, and delivering friendly, professional service to guests.

Responsibilities include inspecting and repairing building components, electrical and plumbing systems, and maintaining pool facilities, ground areas, and furniture.

Qualifications

• Must possess general knowledge in carpentry, drywalling, painting, plumbing, roofing, and landscaping.
• Must have an outgoing personality and deliver excellent customer service.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings and holidays.
• Must be able to troubleshoot and repair routine mechanical and plumbing malfunctions in hotel systems and equipment.
• Must communicate in English and maintain professional appearance.

Responsibilities

• Complete all work orders in a timely manner.
• Adhere to brand maintenance standards and safety protocols.
• Know and maintain life safety systems including fire alarm and evacuation procedures.
• Test and maintain swimming pool and whirlpool water quality per local/state rules.
• Inspect and clean exterior areas including parking lot and landscaping.
• Repair furniture and building components; repaint and finish surfaces.
• Inspect electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems and perform repairs as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and uphold guest safety and security.
