Responsibilities

Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment.
Listen for unusual sounds to detect malfunctions and discuss variations with supervisors to diagnose issues.
Dismantle defective machines and replace parts.
Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other machinery components.
Install/repair electrical apparatus and electronic components of equipment.
Lay out and maintain pipe systems, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and gauges.
Troubleshoot PLCs and related controls.
Operate machine tools to repair or fabricate parts and fixtures.
Weld or cut metal parts with cutting torch.
Interpret specifications, drawings, and verbal instructions to plan operations.
Install parts and materials such as sheet metal coverings and hydraulic systems.
Suggest improvements to enhance setup efficiency through Kaizen activities.
