Qualifications

The Maintenance Technicianis responsible for maintaining the property in a safe, attractive and comfortable condition. This individual will maintain relationships with other service staff, residents and vendors. Some key responsibilities will include providing the highest level of customer service,make regular inspections of grounds and buildings as part of a preventative maintenance plan, complete service requests and assistwith the apartment make-ready process. The maintenance technician reports directly to the maintenance supervisor.

Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Prepare vacantapartment homes for occupancy by making any necessary repairs
  • Complete work orders in occupied homes while providing fast, friendly service
  • Follow preventive maintenance guidelines
  • Maintain property grounds
  • HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance and all other service requests
  • Team work to achieve property goals
  • Follow safety procedures

    • Must be able tostand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel,reach with hands and arms
    • Position requires ability to climbstairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk or hear
    • Mustbe able to lift or move 100lbs occasionally
Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of maintenance experience required preferably in property management or similar industry
  • Hard worker
  • Valid Driver's License with valid auto insurance
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and appliance repairs
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
  • Must be available after hours and weekends for on-call responsibilities (rotated schedule)
