Job summary

Building and Land Technology is seeking a Maintenance Technician for its luxury community in Stamford, CT. The role involves hands-on tasks from make-ready work to preventive maintenance, with duties spanning carpentry, painting, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical care.

Applicants should have at least 1 year of related experience, live within a short drive of Stamford, and be able to operate work-order software.

Qualifications

• > 1 year of hands-on maintenance experience;
• Live within 30-35 minutes of the property for on-call emergency maintenance response;
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, trade/technical school training a plus;
• Computer knowledge with the ability to generate work orders using a property management software system;
• Must be able to lift and work with heavy equipment;
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance are required;
• EPA, CPO, HVAC and CFC certifications are a plus

Responsibilities

• Assists in completing work in make-ready apartments (painting, drywall, cleaning, repair, housekeeping)
• Performs preventive maintenance and community inspections
• Maintains grounds and keeps common areas clean
• Maintains mechanical equipment including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical
• Recommends repairs or replacements of interior/exterior areas
• Complies with Fair Housing laws and standards
• One weekend shift required

About this position

Maintenance Technician
Location: Stamford, CT
Join BLT’s team of dedicated professionals as aMaintenance Technician. This position performs various hands‑on maintenance duties necessary to maintain and enhance the value of our luxury community located in Stamford, CT.
Duties & Responsibilities of theMaintenance Technician:

• Assists in completing work in “make-ready” apartments, including but not limited to painting, drywall repair, cleaning carpets floors and windows, general maintenance repairs and housekeeping
• Performs preventive maintenance and regular community inspections as requested by the Maintenance Manager
• Maintains grounds, keeping common areas free of trash and debris
• Helps maintain all mechanical equipment including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical
• Recommends the repair or replacement of any interior and exterior areas
• Understands and complies with Fair Housing laws and standards
• This position willhave 1 weekend shift.

Requirements of the Position of Maintenance Technician
