Job Description: Maintenance Technician - Night Shift

Location: Goodyear, AZ

Starting Wage: $25.00 - $30.00/hour based on experience.

Job Summary:

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for safely completing maintenance assignments to build, repair, and maintain equipment in good operating condition. The role requires being multi-skilled and contributing to various plant maintenance activities across different craft disciplines.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Complete projects proactively, minimizing equipment downtime and production loss.
2. Troubleshoot mechanical devices, dismantle, examine, and replace defective parts.
3. Operate shop machinery and tools for modifications and repairs.
4. Install and repair electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
5. Enhance equipment reliability and uptime through proactive maintenance.
6. Operate forklifts and aerial lifts as needed.
7. Understand and repair steam systems and monitor boiler operations.
8. Research and procure supplies, parts, and tools efficiently.
9. Maintain accurate inventory and documentation using CMMS.
10. Support safety, health, environmental standards, and departmental housekeeping.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Education & Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Willingness to complete Maintenance Technician Apprenticeship.
• Basic computer skills: MS Office, Windows.
• Ability to operate various tools and equipment safely.
• Ability to read electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics and blueprints.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.

• Knowledge of mechanical systems such as gearboxes, motors, air compressors, pumps, and drives.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with strong organizational skills.
• Math skills for calculations related to weight, volume, and distance.
• Problem-solving skills and manual dexterity.

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years in industrial maintenance, electrical, mechanical, or related fields, or equivalent education and experience.

Certifications:

• Journeyman card or specific craft certification/licenses a plus.
• Technical education is a plus.
