Position summary: The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for preventative, predictive, and routine maintenance tasks. The Maintenance Mechanic will troubleshoot issues, repair failures of production and facilities equipment, and ensure maximum equipment efficiency, effectiveness, and reliability.
This location is in Marion, IN 46953 - relocation assistance provided.
We are seeking Maintenance Technicians with demonstrated expertise at level 4, or 5!
Responsibilities
Essential functions and responsibilities:
- Support maintenance manager with technical assessments, advice, and hands-on repairs and troubleshooting.
- Provide technical expertise to Maintenance Technicians.
- Modify and design control circuitry for existing equipment.
- Perform maintenance procedures on AC/DC control circuitry, programmable logic controllers, microprocessor controls, and power distribution systems, and make improvements to the PM program.
- Perform work safely and in a timely manner.
- Maintain an orderly and sanitary work area.
Provide feedback for engineers to help modify existing equipment and improve the design of future equipment.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
- Be available to work overtime as needed, including off shifts and weekends.
- Ability to climb ladders and traverse walkways.
- Ability to work in a production environment.
- Program PLCs, specifically Allen Bradley equipment.
- Program HMI modules.
- Design and construct electrical control panels.
- Accurately complete required reports and records.
- Respond quickly to trouble calls.
- Report all equipment failures to supervisors both verbally and in writing.
- Read, write, and understand routine reports and correspondence.
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair automated high-speed production equipment.
- Use CMMS to document and track all corrective and preventive maintenance activities thoroughly and accurately.
- Drive company goals through assigned projects and continuous improvement activities.
- Participate in team meetings and shift handovers.
- Comply with safety standards and regulations (LOTO, Work Permits, etc.).
- Adhere to GMPs and SOPs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications
- 5-10 years of relevant experience.
- Ability to read and interpret manuals, schematics, and process control diagrams.
- Experience with ladder logic troubleshooting and writing.
- Experience wiring and troubleshooting 480V electric motors and 120V/24V DC control circuits.
- Experience programming VFDs.
- Knowledge of RS Logix, C Logix, SLC/Micro Logix platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Allen Bradley RS Logix, ControlLogix, PowerFlex VFD.
- Use of precision measurement tools.
- Mechanical installation and alignment skills.
- Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, servo systems.
- Experience with process and analytical instrumentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Climbing, balancing, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, and communication required.
- Work involves exerting force up to 50 lbs occasionally and 20 lbs frequently.
- Work in coolers, freezers, and warehouse areas with temperature extremes.
- Noise level may require shouting to communicate.
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts, electrical currents, high places, heat, chemicals, and oils like Glycol and Ammonia.
