Job Description

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of apartment homes, buildings, and grounds. Responsibilities include repairing flooring, drywall, appliances; troubleshooting and repairing plumbing, electrical, safety, and security systems (lighting, locks, smoke/CO2 alarms, etc.), HVAC systems; painting (interior and exterior); and cleaning (sweeping, mopping, yard upkeep). The technician must follow company policies and safety protocols, supporting overall client satisfaction within the operating budget and management agreement.

Pay

$22 - $24 / Hour

Responsibilities and Duties

• Client Relations: Meet owner expectations and ensure community satisfaction.
• General Maintenance: Follow maintenance programs, ensure grounds and property aesthetics meet policies, assist with inspections.
• On-call/After Hours Response: Provide emergency services during evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Unit Turnover: Inspect and repair vacant apartments, coordinate painting, replace appliances, and ensure timely turnover.
• Maintenance Systems: Repair community equipment, maintain inventory, secure parts, and keep tools organized.
• Other: Enforce community rules, comply with Fair Housing Laws, maintain professional appearance and communication.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in a similar role or related fields like hotel or facilities maintenance.
• High School diploma or equivalent; technical or CAMT certification preferred.
• Ability to wear a respirator, be medically cleared, and adhere to facial hair policies.
• Proficient in English; basic computer skills; may need to provide tools.
