Multifamily Property Management

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of apartment homes, buildings, and grounds. Duties include, but are not limited to: repairing flooring, drywall, and appliances; troubleshooting and repairing plumbing, electrical, safety, and security systems (lighting, locks, smoke/CO2 alarms, etc.); HVAC systems; painting (interior and exterior); and cleaning (sweeping, mopping, garden/yard upkeep, etc.). All duties must be performed in accordance with company policies and safety protocols, supporting the overall goal of meeting client expectations based on the operating budget and management agreement.

Pay: $26 - $28 / Hour

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Client Relations: Carry out the philosophies and wishes of the Owner to ensure FPI meets client objectives and expectations.
2. General Maintenance: Follow maintenance programs for safety and proper property condition; assist with inspections; ensure grounds and aesthetics comply with policies.
3. On-call/After Hours Response: Provide emergency maintenance services during evenings, weekends, and holidays.
4. Unit Turnover: Inspect and repair vacant apartments; coordinate painting and appliance changes; ensure timely turnovers.
5. Maintenance Equipment and Systems: Repair and maintain community equipment; keep maintenance areas organized and compliant; secure parts and supplies; wear provided uniforms and carry necessary tools.
6. Other: Enforce community rules; comply with Fair Housing Laws; maintain a professional image and communication standards.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of experience in a similar role or related fields like hotel or facilities maintenance.
• High School diploma or equivalent; technical school or CAMT certification preferred.
• Valid Driver's License, good driving record, current insurance, and an operable vehicle.
• Ability to wear a respirator, be medically fit, and comply with facial hair policies.
• Proficiency in English; basic computer skills; may need to provide personal tools.
