Alro Steel Corporation in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Maintenance Specialist to join our team. The role focuses on hands-on maintenance and repair of material handling equipment and facility systems to ensure safe, reliable operations.

You will diagnose and repair propane-powered forklifts and sideloaders, service bandsaws, and perform general building maintenance, contributing to a productive work environment and smooth production flows at our Indiana facility.

Qualifications

• Electrical troubleshooting/repair of AC and DC systems.
• Mechanical troubleshooting/repair of hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems.
• Ability to perform minor plumbing, carpentry and welding repairs.
• Ability to organize paperwork and perform recordkeeping functions through databases.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to inventory and order consumables and repair parts.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair propane forklifts.
• Maintain and repair propane sideloaders.
• Maintain and repair horizontal steel-cutting bandsaws.
• Perform building maintenance.
