Job summary

PAM Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Aiken is seeking a Maintenance Tech. I to support operation of department equipment and general facility maintenance. You’ll help create a safe environment for employees, patients, and visitors while performing assigned duties.

Required: High school diploma or equivalent; electrical maintenance license preferred but not required (training available). Experience: 1–2 years in general maintenance; hospital maintenance experience preferred but not essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Electrical maintenance license preferred but not required (training available).
• 1–2 years related maintenance experience; hospital maintenance experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate department equipment and perform routine maintenance.
• Maintain facility and equipment to ensure safe environment for staff, patients, visitors.
• Provide security in the absence of a security officer and assist with related duties as assigned.

The Maintenance Tech. I is responsible for the operation of department equipment and general maintenance of the facility & equipment. These duties are performed in accordance with all applicable standards to provide a safe environment of care for employees, patients, & visitors of all ages. Other responsibilities include security in the absence of a security officer and other related duties as assigned or requested.

• Education and Training: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. An electrical maintenance license preferred but not required (can train).


• Experience: One to two years related experience and or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. General Maintenance background experience required, hospital maintenance experience preferred but not required.
