Carla Properties in Beaverton/Portland, OR is seeking an Apartment Maintenance Technician to keep our communities safe, attractive and well-functioning. You will handle routine service requests, preventative maintenance, and apartment turns, ensuring residents have a comfortable living environment.

The role requires at least 2 years general maintenance, proficiency in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, and appliance repair, with after-hours emergency coverage.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' general maintenance experience (5+ years in property management and/or construction preferred)
• Strong communication, organization, and time management skills
• Proficient in carpentry, drywall, painting, minor plumbing, minor electrical, and appliance repair

Responsibilities

• Complete routine service requests within 24-48 hours; respond to emergencies ASAP
• Schedule and perform preventative maintenance
• Troubleshoot and repair light electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance issues
• Travel to other properties as needed for coverage or emergencies
• Assist with inspections and prepare units for new residents
• Paint, caulk, repair drywall, doors, trim, and fixtures
• Ensure all appliances and lights are operational; replace/repair as needed
• Remove trash and remediate moisture related issues
• Maintain office, clubhouse, fitness center, pool, laundry, and all common areas
• Inspect and maintain property lighting weekly; coordinate with vendors for major repairs
• Complete special projects as assigned
• Interact professionally and courteously with residents
• Comply with Fair Housing laws
• Coordinate daily workflow with supervisor/manager
• Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies
• Adhere to company safety protocols
• Lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and assist with moving appliances

Apartment Maintenance Technician

Location: Raleigh Firs Beaverton, Portland, OR 97221 (119 units)

Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week (Sunday through Thursday) 8am-5pm + After Hours Emergency Maint Phone Duties)

Compensation: $25.00-$29.00/hour

Service & Maintenance
