Job summary

Snap-on in Elizabethton, TN seeks an experienced Maintenance Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment across the facility. You will leverage manuals, blueprints, and schematics to fix mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and combustion systems, ensuring maximum uptime and guiding Mechatronics Technicians.

Responsibilities include safe work practices, LOTO, and contributing to Lean and 6S programs while supporting root-cause repairs and equipment improvements.

Qualifications

• 2 Year Associates Degree in Electronics or equivalent.
• Minimum of five years experience in machining and maintenance.
• Must achieve NOCTI assessment scores for this position.
• Blueprint reading including electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, electrical controls and distribution.
• Support software driven controls including PLCs, operator interfaces, CNCs, servo and stepper drives, and robotics.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and clean working environment; guard equipment and follow electrical safety.
• Perform lock-out tag-out procedures.
• Complete work orders per production and supervisor expectations; seek continuous improvement.
• Input, monitor, and complete work orders using PCs and laptops.
• Read technical docs online to research components and solutions.
• Initiate improvements to increase equipment OEE and uptime.
• Assist in installing new equipment and participate in Kaizen, 6S, and lean events.
• Collaborate with teams to rebuild and improve existing equipment and processes.
