Job summary

Pirates Voyage - Panama City is seeking a maintenance associate to keep facilities and grounds safe, clean, and well-kept. You will perform routine and preventive maintenance on buildings, inspect areas, and report issues while staying organized and using common hand and power tools.

Responsibilities include cleaning coverage, spill cleanup during shows, radio communication, and following safety and emergency procedures.

Qualifications

• Practical maintenance skills and ability to follow instructions.
• Dependable, willing to learn, and able to work independently or with a team.
• Comfortable with standing, bending, and climbing ladders as part of daily tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and preventive maintenance on buildings, grounds, and equipment.
• Inspect work areas and equipment, address issues within training, and report concerns requiring additional assistance.
• Keep tools, equipment, supplies, and work areas organized, secure, and in good condition.
• Provide cleaning and janitorial coverage as assigned, including full shifts cleaning and servicing restrooms.
• Respond to spills and cleanup needs during shows and daily operations, using established procedures and protective equipment.
• Carry and actively use the assigned radio, monitor communications, and respond promptly to calls.
• Follow emergency procedures and assist as directed, including monitoring exits during lost-child responses.
• Follow safety procedures, report hazards, and communicate professionally with guests and team members.
• Maintain reliable attendance, participate in required meetings and training, and perform other duties as assigned.

Position Overview

Maintain safe, welcoming, and well-kept facilities and grounds through routine repairs, preventive maintenance, cleaning, and support of daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and preventive maintenance on buildings, grounds, and equipment.
• Inspect work areas and equipment, address issues within your training, and report concerns requiring additional assistance.
• Keep tools, equipment, supplies, and work areas organized, secure, and in good condition.
• Provide cleaning and janitorial coverage as assigned, including full shifts cleaning and servicing restrooms.
• Respond to spills, vomit, and other cleanup needs during shows and daily operations, using established cleaning procedures and required protective equipment.
• Carry and actively use the assigned radio throughout the shift, monitor communications, and promptly respond to calls.
• Follow emergency procedures and assist as directed, including monitoring assigned exits during a lost-child response.
• Follow safety procedures, promptly report hazards, and communicate professionally with guests and team members.
• Maintain reliable attendance, participate in required meetings and training, and perform other related duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

Work involves extended standing and walking; bending, kneeling, reaching, and climbing ladders; and moving tools, supplies, and equipment with assistance when needed. Tasks may take place indoors or outdoors, in tight or elevated areas, near machinery or animal operations, and in varying temperatures and noise levels. Duties include working around dust and using maintenance and cleaning products according to established safety procedures. Reliable transportation is required.
