Job summary

Billings Clinic is seeking a Maintenance Technician (Per diem) to support our Stillwater Billings Clinic facility. The role involves operating and maintaining HVAC systems, performing routine repairs, and ensuring safety and compliance across the site.

The position is for an as-needed, part-time schedule with no guaranteed benefits. A valid Montana driver’s license and basic maintenance experience are required, with opportunities to grow skills across mechanical and electrical disciplines.

Qualifications

• One (1) year of general maintenance experience preferred demonstrating knowledge of and experience with mechanical plumbing, electrical systems and boiler operations
• Must hold a valid Montana driver’s license or an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Monitors, operates, inspects, repairs, tests, and maintains the HVAC System.
• Performs repairs and preventive maintenance on all mechanical and other devices on a scheduled basis or as requested.
• Checks the fire protection system and conducts fire drills as required.
• Maintains carpets, hard floors and facility grounds to promote a safe and professional environment.
• Participates in on-call rotations and adheres to safety guidelines and standards.
• Performs other duties as assigned to meet department needs.

• Starting Wage DOE: $19.68 - 24.60
• **This is a part-time/as needed position that does not include benefits**

• Supports and models behaviors consistent with Billings Clinic's and facility's mission, vision, values, code of business conduct and service expectations. Meets all mandatory organizational and departmental requirements. Maintains competency in all organizational, departmental, and outside agency standards as it relates to the environment, employee, patient safety, or job performance.
• Monitors, operates, inspects, repairs, tests, and maintains the HVAC System.
• Performs repairs and preventive maintenance on all mechanical and other devices on a scheduled basis or as requested.
• Checks the fire protection system in accordance with established procedures. Conducts the appropriate number of fire drills and documents the results.
• Maintains carpets and hard floors.
• Maintains the grounds of the facility and other owned properties to promote a safe and professional environment in all types of weather conditions.
• Participates in ensuring compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards. Works within established safety guidelines and standards.
• Participates in regular on-call schedule rotations.
• Identifies needs and sets goals for own growth and development; meets all mandatory organizational and departmental requirements.
• Performs all other duties as assigned or needed to meet the needs of the department/organization.

Minimum Qualifications
