Job summary

Oak View Group in Overland Park, KS, is seeking a part-time Maintenance Technician to support facility operations. You will perform general maintenance, basic electrical and infrastructure tasks, and assist with event readiness for meetings, exhibits, and guests.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in facility maintenance or building operations preferred.
• Basic knowledge of lighting, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to safely operate hand tools and maintenance equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the setup and take-down of electrical needs for events in accordance with facility safety procedures.
• Support facility readiness before, during, and after events.
• Perform general maintenance and minor repairs to building systems, including lighting, doors, fixtures, furniture, and facility equipment.
• Respond to maintenance requests and work orders in a timely manner.
• Conduct routine inspections of the facility to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns.
• Assist with preventative maintenance tasks on building systems and equipment.
• Maintain mechanical rooms, storage areas, and maintenance workspaces in a clean and organized condition.
• Work part-time hours based on facility and event schedules.
• All other duties as assigned by the Chief Engineer.

Position Summary

The part-time Maintenance Technician supports the operation and upkeep of the facility by performing general maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance tasks. This position also assists with facility readiness for events, including supporting basic electrical and infrastructure needs. The Maintenance Technician works closely with operations staff to help maintain building systems and ensure meeting rooms, exhibit halls, and public areas are prepared for events, guests, and staff.

This role pays an hourly rate of $20.00.

• Ability to move equipment, furniture, and materials throughout the facility.


• Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays as required.
