Job summary

Pivotal Housing Partners in Mount Union, PA is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support our Mount Union Senior community (44 units) on a part-time basis.

You will perform routine maintenance, respond to emergencies, manage work orders via our Maintenance Mobile app, and ensure a safe, comfortable living environment for residents.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of related maintenance experience.
  • HVAC training and certification preferred.
  • On-call availability for emergencies.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding service to residents in Mount Union Senior (44 units).
  • Complete resident work orders in a timely manner (24–48 hours).
  • Perform general maintenance: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry.
  • Assist with court-ordered set-outs when necessary.
  • Turnover units between residents (3–5 days).
  • Maintain grounds and curb appeal.
  • Prioritize multiple tasks and respond to on-call emergencies.

Position Type: Part-time (20 hours/week) and the ability to be on call to support our residents for emergencies

Pay Range: $20 - $21/ HOUR -- we believe in a culture of transparency

As our Maintenance Technician, you will provide high quality service to our residents, joining a team of outstanding team members with a commitment to excellence. You will hold yourself to a high set of standards, demonstrate a positive, service-minded demeanor, and successfully manage multiple shifting priorities. You will be responsible for the routine maintenance of the physical integrity of the community, including daily pickup of grounds, ensuring a safe, secure, and comfortable living environment for residents, visitors, and staff. You will be our go-to person to ensure our residents are taken care of in the event of an emergency.

We are embracing technology in how we serve our communities. Our HVAC Technicians receive work orders on our Maintenance Mobile app. You will be provided a stipend for your use of your personal smartphone to stay connected with us and process through your work orders.

Summary Of Responsibilities
  • Provide outstanding customer service to all current and future residents
  • Complete resident work orders on a timely basis (24 to 48-hour expectation)
  • Broad knowledge of general maintenance: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry
  • Assist with court-ordered “set-outs” when necessary
  • Perform unit turnover between residents per company standards (3-5 days)
  • Maintain grounds and curb appeal
  • Able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
  • Be responsive to on-call emergencies
Requirements

Successful candidates will have:

  • 1+ years of related experience
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
  • HVAC training and certification preferred
  • Commitment to regular attendance (may include weekend and OT hours)
  • Ability to be “on-call” for emergencies
  • Ability to receive, manage, and close work orders by using smartphone applications
