Position Purpose And Summary

The Maintenance Technician position must demonstrate and promote a strong commitment to providing the best possible experience for our guests and associates. The role is responsible for ensuring that all property equipment functions properly, premises are maintained in pristine condition, and all guest rooms are in good repair. Tasks outlined in the Green Shield Binder and as directed by management or the Regional Asset Manager must be completed promptly and according to company standards.

Major / Key Job Duties
  1. Demonstrate and promote a 100% commitment to providing the best experience for guests and associates.
  2. Work independently while performing duties satisfactorily within company standards.
  3. Respond to guest requests diligently, following guidelines and procedures.
  4. Perform cleaning tasks as per the Green Shield Binder to maintain a pristine environment, including trash removal, building and grounds cleanliness, and snow/ice removal where applicable.
  5. Complete repairs listed on work orders promptly and professionally.
  6. Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and repairs as outlined.
  7. Follow the Green Shield Inspection schedule daily to complete all tasks timely and according to standards.
  8. Maintain records such as Guest Room PM deficiencies, inspections, safety checks, and deficiency logs.
  9. Utilize the Green Shield Schedule workflow and SOPs to ensure all tasks meet company standards.
  10. Keep the maintenance work area organized and manage all tools and inventory daily.
  11. Maintain cleanliness and organization of boiler rooms, electrical rooms, HVAC rooms, fire sprinkler rooms, and ensure all fire safety equipment is operational and inspected regularly.
  12. Comply with safety and security policies, including OSHA and ADA regulations.
  13. Maintain pool and spa areas if applicable, following ESA policies and local regulations.
  14. Assist with emergency responses and coordinate with outside vendors as directed.
Other Duties
  • Assist with cleaning hotel areas as assigned, including front desk, breakroom, laundry, fitness room, vending areas, and stairwells.
  • Maintain overall hotel cleanliness and perform other tasks as assigned by management.

Compensation

Pay ranges vary by state, with specific ranges provided for California, Colorado, Illinois, Minnesota, New Jersey, Washington, and Whitestone, NY. Compensation depends on role, experience, and location. The company adheres to minimum wage laws.

Environmental Job Requirements
  • Remain stationary, navigate the hotel, handle objects, and detect scents and sounds.
  • Access low areas, heights, and maintain stability while working.
  • Push/pull objects up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Work outdoors and in humid, wet, or chemically hazardous conditions as needed.
  • Travel within a reasonable area to support additional sites.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED, or 1-3 months related experience, or equivalent education and experience.
