Job summary

The City of Branson is seeking an outdoor maintenance worker to keep parks, facilities, and athletic fields in top condition. You will perform landscaping, mowing, irrigation repairs, and related cleaning tasks onsite.

Responsibilities include operating mowers and small engines, maintaining equipment, and assisting with snow removal and field prep. The role requires a valid CDL or plan to obtain one, and flexibility for after-hours work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 18+ years old.
• At least 1 year of semi-skilled maintenance experience.
• Valid driver's license and insurability for City vehicle use.
• CDL Class A or B or ability to obtain before start date.
• Able to operate medium equipment (mowers, bobcat, etc.).
• Willing to work nights, weekends and holidays if needed.
• Must pass background, drug/alcohol and agility screenings.

• Support upkeep of parks, trails, and buildings with landscaping, mowing, irrigation repairs, and cleaning.
• Operate and maintain equipment such as mowers, utility vehicles, and small engines.
• Help prepare athletic fields and assist with snow removal and trash collection.

What you need to be considered for this opportunity:

• A High school diploma, or GED equivalent and be at least 18 years of age.
• Have at least one (1) year of experience in performing semi-skilled building or mechanical, construction, or grounds maintenance tasks.
• Have a valid Driver's license and be insurable under the City of Branson's motor vehicle coverage when operating a vehicle as a part of the position.
• Possess a valid Class A or B CDL OR obtain a passing grade on the written portion of the Class A or B CDL exam before employment start date.
• Be able to properly operate medium level equipment such as a zero turn mower, a bobcat, trash truck, and snowplow with spreader.
• Be willing to work any shift, including nights, weekends, and holidays if necessary.
• Be able to pass a background investigation, drug and alcohol screenings, and a physical agility screening.

COMPENSATION:

The starting hourly wage is $20.26 per hour and will increase to $21.07 per hour after 6 months of successful probation.

WORK HOURS:

Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Some after hours will be required.

WORK LOCATION:

In and around the City of Branson, Missouri; This position requires work to be performed onsite.
