Job summary

Centerspace is hiring a Service (Maintenance) Technician in Monticello, MN. The role supports preparing new apartment homes, handling routine repairs, and maintaining building systems to ensure resident satisfaction.

Schedule is Tuesday-Saturday 8:30 AM–5:30 PM with on‑call rotation. The base pay starts at $20.00-$23.00 per hour, with eligibility for a comprehensive benefits package including PTO, holidays, paid leave, rent discounts, stock purchase plan, 401(k) matching, and tuition

Qualifications

• On-call availability and rotating schedule.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to learn plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall and painting tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC repairs, carpentry, appliance repairs, painting/drywall.
• Maintain efficient operation and upkeep of property buildings and grounds.
• Perform routine maintenance on vacant units prior to new resident occupancy.
• Respond to resident service requests using a work order system.
• Keep amenity areas clean and operable; assist seasonally with snow removal and groundskeeping.
