Job summary

Samaritas in Cheboygan, MI is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a full-time on-site role at our 24-unit affordable living community. The position is roughly 30 hours per week, Monday–Friday with on-call responsibilities, offering a pay rate of $19.50/hour plus full benefits.

The successful candidate will perform routine and preventative maintenance, handle light plumbing, electrical, and drywall repairs, and assist with groundskeeping and preparing apartments for new residents.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred.
At least 1 year of general maintenance or handyman experience.
Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, drywall, and general repairs.
Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
Ability to communicate with residents and staff.
Valid driver's license and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

Perform routine and preventative maintenance on building systems, equipment, and units.
Complete work orders including light plumbing, electrical, and drywall repairs.
Maintain interiors and exterior grounds, including lawn care and snow removal.
Prepare and clean vacant apartments for new residents.
Respond to maintenance requests with minimal supervision.
Monitor supplies and inventory.
Support general housekeeping and upkeep of shared spaces.
