Job summary

Samaritas is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform routine and preventive maintenance across our affordable living communities in Cheboygan, MI. This on-site role requires hands-on work with building systems, plumbing, electrical, and drywall repairs, plus caretaking duties like snow removal.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of handyman experience, with strong communication and organization to support residents and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• At least 1 year of general maintenance or handyman experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, drywall and general repairs.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents staff vendors and contractors.
• A customer service mindset with compassion for individuals in affordable housing communities.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on building systems equipment and units.
