Job summary

Atlantic Residential is seeking a qualified Maintenance Technician for our Brookfield Reserve community. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, and general apartment maintenance, and EPA certifications (or be motivated to obtain them with our support).

The schedule is Tuesday-Saturday, with on-call rotations and safety‑conscious work habits. We foster a team that values reliability, clear communication, and high‑quality service to residents.

Qualifications

• HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance maintenance experience.
• Background in multifamily or residential property maintenance preferred.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and customer-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional image and residents’ welfare.
• Respond to service requests promptly (within 24 hours).
• Provide emergency on-call service for Maintenance Department.
• Inform supervisor of needed parts and supplies.
• Leave notices stating reasons for entrance and work performed.
• Observe conditions of occupied apartments and report issues.
• Perform “make-ready” tasks in turnover units as directed.
• Keep property clean and orderly; remove trash.
• Manage waste and keep ash/receptacles proper.
• Assist with snow removal to ensure access.
• Know location of turnoffs, safety equipment, and emergency contacts.
• Support preventative maintenance for furnaces, A/C coils, pumps, painting, lighting, and pool areas.
• Monitor vacant apartment conditions.
• Track tools in inventory.
• Maintain orderly shop and monthly inspections.
• Think and work safely at all times.
• Report all repairs to supervisor.
