Job: Maintenance Technician

Shift: Nights (6p-6:30am) - 4 on / 4 off

Location: Kansas City, MO

Sign-on Bonus: $3000

Mars Petcare is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our Nutro manufacturing plant in Kansas City, MO.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain multiple systems within designated areas.
• Troubleshoot, adjust, repair, and perform preventive/predictive maintenance on production equipment to ensure proper functionality of machinery, building, and utilities.
• Follow safety and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
• Communicate issues to the oncoming shift Lead Maintenance Technicians and other Reliability Technicians.
• Write and close work orders and PMs promptly.
• Identify area improvement opportunities and initiate planned work orders.
• Collaborate with Lead Maintenance Technicians and Engineers on system improvements.
• Maintain professional communication with team members and management.
• Assist with logic programming changes and system start-ups.
• Maintain shared equipment in the maintenance shop.
• Support routine shutdowns, start-ups, and project installations.
• Train operators on operational setup issues.
• Demonstrate a food safety and quality culture.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Knowledge and Experience

• At least 2 years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Proficiency with industrial mechanics, electrical, instrumentation, controls, rigging, and millwork tools.
• Injection molding or machining experience is highly preferred.
