Job summary

Amcor is hiring a Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot and repair production equipment including injection molding, IML automation, and assembly lines. The role covers mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems, plus preventive maintenance tasks.

The candidate should have 5–7 years of manufacturing maintenance experience, strong communication, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams. Night shifts are 12 hours with sign-on bonuses and solid benefits.

Qualifications

• Perform daily PMs and keep paperwork.

Job description

Job Description Troubleshoot and make repairs on all production equipment. This includes, but not limited to, Injection molding machines, IML Automation equipment, assembly lines, auxilliary equipment, and facility support systems. Maintenance Technicians must be able to work on mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems. Maintenance Technicians are also responsible for performing all preventative maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Installation, repair and preventive maintenance of all operating equipment, fix equipment and support equipment as assigned
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and or program issues with Molding, and all support equipment
• Install machines electrical, plumbing and interface with all other systems
• Come up with solutions to issues and ways to improve machines
• MIG & TIG welding
• Fabricating skills
• Print reading (schematics) capabilities
• Understanding of PLC and RS Logic to test equipment and/or make adjustments
• Performs daily PM’s and maintains the proper paperwork
• Complies with safety regulations and established lean manufacturing principles
• Works with other mechanics, engineering and manufacturing to work on continuous improvement projects
• Provide general facilities maintenance
• Follow applicable food safety and cGMP policies

Qualifications

• 5-7 years manufacturing maintenance experience preferred
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work under limited supervision
• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and welding is beneficial
• Advanced technical training or applied experience with hydraulics, industrial electricity, electronics, and control systems preferred
• Additional training may be required to retain position
• Computer experience preferred
• Good attendance required
