Management Recruiters of Zionsville is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a state-of-the-art food manufacturing facility in Indianapolis. The role focuses on keeping machinery and production systems running safely and efficiently through preventive maintenance and proactive troubleshooting.

The incumbent will work a 2-2-3 rotating schedule, 5:00pm–5:00am, with opportunities for overtime, sign-on bonus, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Three years of maintenance experience in a food production environment.
• Electromechanical troubleshooting capabilities.
• PLC diagnostics experience.
• Solid understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, drives and motors.

Responsibilities

• Understand specifications and analyze equipment across the plant.
• Perform preventive maintenance on engines, motors, conveyors, and production machines.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions and follow diagrams, manuals, and specifications.
• Ensure safety policies and procedures are followed.
• Support operation safety, quality, and production goals.

Job description

Maintenance Technician, 5p-5a, on a 2-2-3 schedule

With a state-of-the-art food manufacturing facility, our client is leading the industry with relevant, fresh products for a variety of customers and applications. In this critical role, a Maintenance Technician facilitates safety, production, and quality by ensuring the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Understands specifications
• Analyzes/Maintains equipment and systems throughout the plant
• Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines
• Capable of following: Diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications
• Troubleshooting malfunctions
• Comply with all safety policies, procedures, and good work practices

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent
• Three years of maintenance experience in a food production environment
• Electromechanical troubleshooting (Ex: controls, components, control wiring diagnosis, etc.)
• PLC diagnostics experience
• Mechanical comprehension and functional understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical drives and motors, bearings, fasteners and fittings, hardware
• Experience with smart eyes, photo eyes, micro switches, proximity devices, encoders, reed sensors, ultrasonic, retroflected and reflective, etc.
• Process equipment control knowledge for troubleshooting and installations

Schedule

• 2-2-3 rotating schedule, 5:00pm – 5:00am
• Occasional overtime

Compensation & Benefits

• Up to $40/hr, depending on experience
