Job summary

Pregis is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to maintain machinery and utility systems in a manufacturing environment. The role emphasizes completing both planned and unplanned maintenance while upholding OSHA and plant safety standards.

The technician will troubleshoot PLC and AC/DC drive systems, read schematics, and ensure high-quality, safe operations on the production lines. This is a full-time, on-site position with 12-hour shifts and an emphasis on teamwork and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of manufacturing maintenance experience.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot PLC/AC-DC drives.

Responsibilities

• Maintain proper functioning of machinery and equipment through planned and unplanned maintenance on production, processing equipment, and utilities.
• Troubleshoot PLC and AC/DC drive systems.
• Be on-call for emergency repairs as needed.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and service manuals to perform maintenance tasks.

Summary Of Job

Maintenance Technicians will be responsible for maintaining proper functioning of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing maintenance requirements (both planned and unplanned) on production, processing equipment, and utility systems. Maintaining a clean and safe work environment, while following all OSHA and facility-specific protocols (including LOTO, Arc Flash, etc.)

Essential Functions And Responsibilities

• Perform the proper function of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing maintenance requirements (both planned and unplanned) on production, processing equipment, and utility systems.
• Successfully perform troubleshooting on Programmable Logic Control (PLC) and AC/DC drive systems.
• On call for emergency repairs in breakdown situations as necessary.
• Accurately read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, electrical schematics, service manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Perform preventative maintenance (i.e., conducting computerized preventative maintenance check-ups or reading SPC charts and data) as needed.
• Ensure proper function of the line manufacturing support systems (line/lube delivery, resin delivery, process systems, operational support.)
• Accurately complete and document work orders promptly to maintain high-quality standards.
• Maintain communication with other departments, management, and employees; notifying them of problems and/or concerns that may restrict production efficiency.
• Complete all paperwork in a clear, legible, and accurate format, including all required information and documentation following Standard Operating Procedures.
• Assist in maintaining parts and supplies inventory by checking parts out of inventory and assigning them to the proper work order, report low supply levels to Supervisor.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work area, including maintenance shop.
• Identify Critical Control Points (CCP).
• Abide by all safety standards and protocols set forth by OSHA and Pregis.
• Performs related duties as assigned.
• Other responsibilities as directed or required.
