Job summary
Westlake Pipe & Fittings is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to troubleshoot, repair, build, and install plant production equipment at our Haywood Heights facility. The role includes bending conduit, wiring, and connecting equipment, with preventive maintenance on machines and support systems.
Candidates should have a High School Diploma or equivalent, plus technical training from military or vocational school, and at least three years of industrial maintenance experience.

Summary: Troubleshoots, repairs, builds, and installs plant production and support equipment.

- Trained in use and operation of electrical and hydraulic systems.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Technical training from the military, vocational/technical school or college.
- Three years' experience as a technician in an industrial maintenance department.
- Ability to read and comprehend sufficient English to follow work instructions and blueprints. Must be able to communicate well verbally with others.
- Basic mathematical skills associated with the position.
- Strong reasoning ability to troubleshoot machines. Must work well with little supervision.
- Must be able to achieve and retain a forklift license.
- Must be able to do some climbing on machines, be able to lift 70 pounds, and stand/walk for extended amounts of time.
- General factory. Exposed to heat, cold, noise, dust, oil/grease and traveling powered industrial vehicles.
- General Job Duties: Trouble shooting and repairing electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems and PLCs.
- Line Operation: Responsible for getting lines that go down back to production in a timely manner.
