Job summary

U.S. Water Heating is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support production through routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and preventative care of machinery and facilities.

You will read drawings and specifications, operate mills/lathes/grinders, and collaborate with a team in a factory setting. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, strong knowledge of electrical/pneumatic/hydraulic/mechanical systems, and a safety-first mindset.

Responsibilities

Job description

Primary duties and responsibilities:

• Conduct self in all actions with a safety first mindset
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Perform typical maintenance tasks to support all production activities
• Perform troubleshooting and maintenance on machinery, equipment, building, and grounds as required
• Perform preventative maintenance as required
• Performs other related duties and assignments as required.

• General knowledge and/or experience with:
  • Electrical systems including control components – such as disconnects, breakers, relays, fuses, motors, PLCs, etc.
  • Pneumatic systems and components – such as valves, cylinders, pneumatic tools, etc.
  • Hydraulic systems and components – such as pumps, hoses, cylinders, accumulators, etc.
  • Mechanical systems and components – such as conveyors, hoists, chains, sprockets, belts, etc.
• The position requires the ability to use all hand tools and power tools common to the tasks listed
• The position requires the ability of basic operation of maintenance related machinery such as mill, lathe, grinder
• The position requires the ability to read and interpret drawings, sketches, and specifications
• The position requires considerable judgment when performing and planning to perform his/her tasks
• The position will be required to perform basic math.
• High School diploma or GED required

Physical environment/working conditions:

The position is in the factory and could involve sitting, standing, walking, lifting, and exposure to loud noise for long periods throughout the day.

Equipment and Machinery used:

A large variety of hand and power tools common to the tasks listed.

Personal Protective/ Safety Equipment used:

Eye and ear protection required at all times.Safety toed shoes required.

Other:

The position requires the ability to function as a member of a team and as an individual.Lockout/Tag outand forklift safety certification must be maintained at all times. The position requires knowledge and awareness of electrostatic discharge, foreign object damage, and quality systems.The position requires the ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs
