Amcor is seeking a maintenance technician to perform electrical and mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance to ensure production equipment operates as required. The role covers molding and printing equipment, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, and PLCs.

The ideal candidate will have an associate degree or technical training, with 6 months to 3 years of related experience. Strong reading, writing, and oral communication skills are expected.

• Associates degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school preferred.
• 6 months to 3 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education or experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence; speak effectively before groups.

Summary:

To perform electrical and mechanical repairs or preventative maintenance in order to ensure production equipment performs as required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Installs, alters, maintains, troubleshoots and repairs electrical and mechanical molding and printing equipment, pneumatic, hydraulic and PLC system.
• Installs and trouble shoots mechanical or electrical support equipment
• Preventative maintenance in molding.
• Preventative maintenance in printing.
• Preventative maintenance for support equipment.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
