Job summary

Lyons Magnus, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician to improve operability of manufacturing machines, implement preventative maintenance, and upgrade equipment to meet production needs. The role is based in Walton, Kentucky and requires working 6:00pm–6:00am with 4 12-hour shifts, plus potential overtime and weekend work.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma and a skilled trade apprenticeship, with at least five years of maintenance experience in manufacturing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a skilled trade apprenticeship preferred but not required.
• Five years of maintenance experience preferred in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Maintains production equipment to ensure safe, efficient operations.
• Supports preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
• Assists in GMP sanitation and inventory control activities.
• Oversees daily routines to ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Records detailed notes in CMMS/maintenance tracking systems.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for improving the overall operating functions of the manufacturing machines to achieve the desired goals. This will include preventative maintenance programs, machine upgrades to enable difficult production orders to be more efficient, diagnostic/troubleshooting ability to resolve downtime and quality issues and overall machine efficiency improvements.

Pay Range: $30.00–$36.00 per hour, depending on experience, plus applicable shift differential.

Hours: 6:00pm - 6:00am

Schedule: 4 - 12 hour shifts, rotate monthly

Location: Walton, KY

Work Environment Available: On site

Core Responsibilities:

• Maintenance Team supports the production department in maintaining a Working and Safe, environment.
• Assists in GMP Master Sanitation Program within specified work area.
• Continuing effort in Preventative and Predictive Maintenance.
• Assist the Maintenance clerk in Inventory control.
• Assist the Maintenance Manager in overseeing that daily routines and task are completed in a timely fashion.
• Enter detailed comments into the company computer tracking system (Red Zone, CMMS, etc.)
• Other duties at the discretion of management.

Requirements

• Flexible work schedule and the ability to work other shifts as needed and to work overtime and weekends.

Education and/or Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a skilled trade apprenticeship is preferred but not required (mechanical, electrical, machinist, pipe fitter, etc.)
• Five years of working experience in a maintenance department or other technical related training.
