Job summary

Lyons Magnus, LLC in Fresno, CA is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join the night shift. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, improving machine reliability, and supporting production with diagnostic and repair work.

You will work on manufacturing equipment, participate in PM programs, and help upgrade machines to meet order demands. Strong electrical/mechanical skills, PLC knowledge, and willingness to work overtime are required.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in a technical field and 2+ years of related experience, or 5+ years of Electro-Mechanical Technician experience.
• Must provide own tool
• Preferred: maintenance experience in a food manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on all equipment.
• Improve machinery efficiency and reliability through PM program.
• Ensure maintenance team is productive and proactive for production support.
• Ensure compliant inventory control by all personnel.
• General maintenance housekeeping.
• Assist engineering on major projects and machine overhauls.
• Support Safety program and Lockout/Tag-out policy compliance.
• Handle after-hours emergency calls for machine downtime.
• Observe and comply with all good working practices.

Lyons Magnus is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Fresno, CA to work on their night shift. This position will be responsible for improving the overall operating functions of the manufacturing machines to achieve the desired goals. This will include preventative maintenance programs, machine upgrades to enable difficult production orders to be more efficient, diagnostic/troubleshooting ability to resolve downtime and quality issues and overall machine efficiency improvements.

Pay range: $22.05-$37.00/ Per hour

Hours: 5:00pm to 5:00am

Schedule: 4/10 (4 days on, 3 days off), days off rotate every 28 days

Location: Fresno, CA

Work Environment: Production Environment

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on all equipment.
• Improve the machinery efficiency and reliability through the established PM program.
• Ensure that the maintenance team is productive and proactive in supporting the production team.
• Ensure that fellow mechanics and any other personnel are following the inventory control systems set in place.
• General Maintenance Housekeeping.
• Ability to assist engineering in major projects and machine overhauls
• Support the Safety program, practice the Lockout/tag-out policy and ensure that the equipment safety devices are operational.
• Takes after hour emergency phone calls for machine breakdowns
• Observe and comply with all good working practices.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Leadership and Organizational skills
• Ability to direct and motivate other team members to complete specific tasks
• Analytical skills and advanced electrical/mechanical problem-solving skills and the ability to give technical guidance to other team members.
• Experience in machine modifications and rebuilds
• Ability to work autonomously with limited supervision.
• Detail oriented with the ability to maintain accurate documentation
• Flexible work schedule and the ability to work other shifts as needed and to work overtime and weekends.
• Basic Computer Skills
• Understand PLC’s and ladder logic
• Able to obtain Forklift/Scissor lift license

Required Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in a technical field and 2+ years of related experience, or 5+ years of experience as an Electro-Mechanical Technician.

• Previous maintenance experience in a food manufacturing environment.
