A leading company in the manufacturing sector is looking for an Industrial Maintenance Technician in Baytown, Texas. In this role, you will ensure the safety and optimal performance of plant operations while maintaining equipment through a comprehensive preventative maintenance program. You will work closely with contractors and team members to manage parts inventory and oversee repair tasks. Qualifications

• Minimum two years of work experience in Industrial Maintenance.

• Preferably skilled in Microsoft Excel and Word.

Job description

Purpose

The primary purpose of this role is to provide relentless support for both safety and continuous improvement on RMA Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s). Ensure longevity and care for plant equipment, buildings and operations. Also responsible for supporting “Maintenance Systems”.

Areas of Responsibility / Tasks

• General Policy
• Ensure all equipment, building and plant operations are SAFE and in good working condition.
• Responsible for maintaining and improving the Preventative Maintenance System (PMS).
• As part of PMS, measure and record screw/rotor and barrel/chamber wear – take action as needed.
• Plan, organize and execute tasks and/or repairs.
• Implement engineering changes to equipment as necessary.
• Responsible for repairs of equipment in a timely manner.
• Responsible for installations of new and existing equipment.
• Work with Contractors, Vendors, OEM Suppliers and Machine Shops as necessary.
• Responsible for Critical Spare Parts inventory and communicating part orders as needed / predicted.
• Predict parts orders as needed due to performance wear and fatigue of equipment.
• Ensure schedule and delivery of parts and equipment are communicated as needed to eliminate down time.
• Member of RMA Safety Committee (if requested).
• Create and track performance data points for equipment when needed. Demonstrate skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals, schematic diagrams and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment in a timely manner.
• Implement capital expenditure projects on-time, on-budget, right the first time and safely.
• Maintain tools and gages in good working condition and well organized.
• Follow all Quality, Safety, and Environmental Procedures.
• Uphold the Ravago Code of Conduct standards.
• Support Continuous Improvement Teams (CIT) as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager and Eng. & Maintenance Manager.

Minimum Qualifications/ Education / Experience / Certifications

• Education:
• Must have High School diploma or of equivalent value.
• Must have completed vocational school Industrial Maintenance program or have two years (minimum) work experience in the field of Industrial Maintenance.
• Experience:
• Ability to operate a fork truck and articulate boom.
• Must possess excellent interpersonal, people management and problem solving skills.
• Ability to read, speak and write English efficiently preferred.
• Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Detail oriented and ability to prioritize.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Preferred if skilled in Microsoft Excel and Word.
