Description

Maintenance Technician $24.50-$26.52, hourly

Coralarie Apartments is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician. This full-time, benefit-eligible position has scheduled hours from Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM.

Job Summary

The Maintenance Technician performs duties to maintain and enhance the community's value, including repairs and improvements of vacant apartments to market-ready status. Works collaboratively with maintenance and office staff to meet quality standards.

Job Duties

• Prepare or oversee preparation of vacant apartments to market-ready condition efficiently.
• Perform light electrical, plumbing, and carpentry repairs.
• Keep accurate records of preventative maintenance, work orders, inspections, and inventories.
• Address service requests, including plumbing, electrical, lock changes, sealing, appliance replacement, and infestations.
• Remove garbage, manage keys, assist in planning repairs, and support inspections.
• Participate in emergency standby schedules during evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Maintain professionalism and courtesy with residents, co-workers, and the public.
• Attend training seminars and safety meetings.
• Report incidents affecting insurance claims.
• Ensure building security systems are operational and inspect for vandalism or break-ins.
• Be familiar with emergency plans and ensure staff training.
• Test and inspect fire alarms, smoke detectors, extinguishers, and hydrants.
• Deliver communications to residents as needed.
