Maintenance Technician
Location: Mount Vernon Ohio
Industrial Manufacturing Company
Hourly Range: $26-$35/hr
Open Shift Hours: 6:30PM-4:30AM (Mon-Thurs) or 5AM-5PM / 5PM-5AM (Weekends: Friday-Sunday)
Position Overview
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of machinery and equipment through routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs. This role plays a critical part in maintaining production efficiency and safety in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery and equipment to prevent breakdowns.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Conduct preventative and predictive maintenance to extend the life of equipment.
- Utilize tools such as micrometers and calipers to measure precision parts.
- Assist in the setup and operation of CNC machines as needed.
- Document maintenance activities and maintain accurate records of repairs and inspections.
- Collaborate with production staff to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in maintenance or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and 3-phase power systems.
- Familiarity with preventative and predictive maintenance techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Proficient in using hand tools and measurement instruments such as micrometers.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
