Job summary

Olympus Property is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our service team at Monte Viejo. You will perform repairs, preventative maintenance, and on-call support to keep resident homes and facilities in excellent condition. Duties include HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliance work.

We require at least 2 years of maintenance experience; HVAC knowledge or EPA license is preferred. The role offers full-time hours with a benefits package and opportunities for growth across our

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of commercial, residential, or apartment maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems; EPA/HVAC license preferred.
• Ability to perform plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliance repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance requests with plumbing, carpentry, painting, appliance repair, etc.
• Preventative maintenance and HVAC diagnosis, replace filters, clean coils.
• Repair/replace appliances (refrigerators, stoves, washers, dryers, ovens, microwaves).
• Plumbing repairs and installations; fixtures replacement.
• Electrical fixture/switch repairs; lock changes and door hardware.
• Operate tools; maintain organized shop and inventory.
• Track service requests via software; assist with grounds and common areas.
• Support emergency maintenance as needed.

The Maintenance Technician will work alongside the service team and office teams to ensure that all the repair and maintenance of property facilities and apartment homes meet or exceed standards.

Your Purpose & General Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance requests with knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, painting, appliance repair, etc.
• Preventative maintenance and diagnosis on HVAC units, replacing filters, and cleaning coils
• Repair and replace furnished kitchen appliances, refrigerators, stoves, washers and dryers, ovens, and microwaves
• Minor to moderate-level plumbing repairs, replacements, and installation
• Repair or replace sink/shower/toilet fixtures
• Repair or replace electrical fixtures and switches
• Lock changes, lockouts, and replace doors, doorknobs, and lock systems
• Operate various equipment, hand tools, and power tools
• Upkeep and organization of maintenance shop and inventory
• Track service requests and maintenance work performed through software systems
• Assist in maintaining the grounds, interior and exterior common areas, and pools
• Work closely with Lead Maintenance Technician on daily and weekly priorities
• Available as needed for emergency maintenance requests

Essential Needs for Monte Viejo

• Available Full-time, Monday - Friday from 9 AM - 6 PM (hours may vary slightly)
• Minimum of 2 years of commercial, residential, or apartment Maintenance experience
• Knowledge of HVAC systems and/or an EPA/HVAC license
• Must be available for on call and weekends and over time when needed
• Ability to work independently & with a team

Initial pay range (based on location, experience, etc.): $20.00 - $22.00/per hour
