MinnWest Technology Campus is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician for our beautiful, one hundred acre campus located in Willmar, MN.
About Us:

The MinnWest Technology Campus maintains a beautiful, one hundred acre campus that is focused on attracting and retaining business partners in an innovative, collaborative, and unique working environment. With over twelve commercial cottages at over 18,000 square feet each, the campus offers a variety of spaces that can be remodeled to suit each company's needs.

The Opportunity:

This role will be responsible for providing general and specialized maintenance for the campus and its tenants, including construction, equipment maintenance, landscaping, and more!

The Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
  • Carpentry and construction skills, with knowledge of materials, tools, and methods.
  • Ability to learn, interpret, and apply standards, policies, and procedures, including safety standards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, identify, correct, and maintain routine maintenance issues.
  • Proficiency with work-order and time-recording computer programs.
  • Ability to work independently with strong time management skills.
  • Residence in or near the Willmar Lakes Area is preferred.
  • A valid state driver’s license is required.
Summary of Primary Responsibilities:
  1. Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures.
  2. Assist in the operation, maintenance, and repair of buildings and major systems such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, security, fire alarms, exterior envelope, and grounds, under the supervision of the General Manager.
  3. Participate in exterior maintenance programs including landscaping, snow removal, parking lot maintenance, and site safety.
  4. Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and groundskeeping for campus facilities.
  5. Work indoors and outdoors, with exposure to varying weather conditions, open/confined spaces, and noise.
  6. Be available to respond to incidental situations after hours and on weekends as part of a regular rotation.

Compensation:

Starting pay: $22.74 - $28.42 per hour.
